This is another self-portrait I found recently... When I saw it, I thought: Why didn't I do something with this before?
I guess that, at the time, I didn't think it was all that special.
I was posing nude for a painter for many years, and I really liked it! Things got a little weird between us when he began making me feel guilty about things he said he did for me (like letting me use his place for photos). Anyway, let's just say that the value of his art was higher than the value of mine in his opinion.. meh, it's a long and unnecessary story.
So, speaking of that, this pic is one of the self-portraits where he "lent" his "fantastic" bedroom to shoot in.
I did it because I like to shoot in different locations, and I also liked that it had one of his paintings on the wall. I actually find his paintings really cool and unique.
Maybe I didn't use this photo-or like it- because of everything it implied.
But now that I'm over it, I found it back and like it so much. It's really different from the other self-portraits I've done. My body in this pose is so far from the way I usually see it. It's intriguing and represents well the state of mind and the stage of my life at that moment.
