I did meet a new person. Had a lovely first date, lunch at their house. (they were snowed in) and talked for hours. As soon as I walked in the door, I got a text from someone I've been interested in for a long time though, asking me to join them for lunch before my competition. (slam poetry) ((came in third, as always.)) I declined, decided I don't want to chase anymore.

if the gf doesnt want him to be poly but SHE is. that's their boat not yours. tell him that you had a good time and would LOVE to see him again. let him know you ARE interested. if he says he cant. back off gracefully. sometimes being in an open relationship has bumps along the way, this may be one of them that they have to work through on their own.
