School has started. And thank God for that. A little bit of structure is JUST what I need right now. The debauch needed to end, or at least fade out for a while.
I do need to write a film, however, as soon as possible and I am having a damned hard time of it. I am competing with 15 other students, all of whom are as capable is not more so than I, for 1 of 10 production allocation slots. It's stressing me out totally and I've only had one class. Jesus Christ, I hope this works. I really need this. I would be thrilled to be allowed the opportunity to make the film that is gestating inside my skull. Now, it just needs to find its way down my arms, through my fingers and on to paper so I can show someone else just how cool of an idea it is.
And, I assure you, it is a really good idea.
Fortuitously enough, my other classes seem like they'll be easy to deal with, especially my life drawing class. I am excited as hell about that one. My drawing has gone to hell in the last few years and I hope that this will reinspire me to use those damned pencils I love so much.
In other news, Notre Dame's football season starts tomorrow which KICKS ASS. There's nothing like watching the little brother you made fun of for playing football for so many years get a full scholarship for playing football to a Division I school. Fucking kick ass shit, that is. They're playing Washington State at home and my mom and step-dad are going to Southbend, Indiana to watch the game from California. If anyone watches any of the games, look out for #9 Pat Dillingham. He's the second string quarterback. The game starts at 1:30 EST.
