I feel as though I've a new home in the clouds lately. "Things," typed with appropriate ambiguity, are certainly going "well" for me. Time is such a fluid thing when you aren't counting the days go by.
Not only have I been simply lost in a rapturous whirl of art and dialogue and intellectual stimulation, The Dear Hunter has released a song from their upcoming Green EP that is just utterly amazing. it reminds me of conversations my boyfriend and I have at four am, lying in bed listening to Pink Floyd with the crazy iTunes visualizer. At one point in my life, I feared it worse than death, but I am beginning to relish the vertigo of allowing myself to melt into another person. Existentially, this meaningless universe is a daunting place, but somehow, with someone who loves and supports me by my side, I feel like I could climb even farther out of these anonymous depths in which I currently reside. Life goal: make Nietzsche proud.
ENOUGH! blathering on and on about useless philosophy! i'm just getting my life in order and it feels great. my new job is so great, working at a coffeeshop close to my house (it's a nice walk each morning!) and in a few months I am going to be moving to Frisco with my man! Stoked!!!!
How was everyone's weekend? I'll take this time to make an adamant statement of anti-faith: god (esp the christian one) does not exist, however, I will admit that I really miss waking up to a bed full of starburst jelly beans and my mother's coy smile masking her mumbles of 'blahblahblah easter bunny.' I miss family dinners. Okay, let's be real, I miss my dad's fucking steaks. GODDAMNIT. Sounds like I need a trip home
In any case, my set!is still in MR. Super FUCKING happy, elated even, at the responses that I am getting. As I've said before, i am skeptical of it's overall success due to lighting issues and also my own stupidity (I uploaded some extra photos after it was queued because I didn't realize I couldn't delete them!! ugh.) but I am just really happy! I am probably going to shoot another set this week or next week sometime. I need to get on it, I swear!
