So I went out for drinks with some friends last night and decided to leave a bit earlier than others. Didn't get a mile down the road before I was pulled over for speeding (they said I was going 41 in a 25 zone, though I was just away from a sign that said the speed limit was 40).
Ended up being given the drunk test (whatever the Hell you call it) for the first time in my life. Then was told that the breathalizer was voluntary, though really it wasn't. So I was pleased as punch when I passed that motherfucker. Then he gave me a big spiel about how I was "on the borderline" and should have someone pick me up, etc. I saw the machine said my blood/alchohol level was a .03 something, so maybe he was just trying to save face after trying to tell me I was unfit to drive.
In any event, they left me with a ticket of around $150 for speeding (my first speeding ticket) and $400 something for not being able to find insurance paperwork. So basically what it comes down to is this: I'm screwed. Somehow I've had no money lately, and this really doesn't help. Where will I get all this money?
Maybe it's time to try and start attempting to sell my photos again. Honestly that doesn't sound like the funnest thing in the world, and I don't know that anyone is willing to dish out money for my stuff anymore.
It's my day off. Woke up early with horrible stomach pains. Supposed to do something with Cassie today I guess.

I dunno what the laws are like up there, but here in Texas - if you can go to court and prove that you DID have insurance at the time of the ticket, they'll dismiss it. Some states even give you a short grace period to get insurance, and then will dismiss w/ a much smaller penalty/fee. Look into it, coz 400 bones is a hell of a wad to drop for bullshit like that.
