So, yeah. I did end up going out alone on Saturday night. I had a great time, but don't really feel the need to go into it. I will say, however, that I did something that I occasionally do when I'm out drinking -- I smoked a clove. For some reason it seemed like the best clove I'd ever had, so I bought a pack....

Unfortunately, the following isn't mine -- it was written in the 1910s by Mary Aldis. cut.rate.box included it in a song of theirs, which is how I found out about it. Three cheers for public domain works. smile

To our small room
You will look and listen
I shall not be there.

You will cry out your dismay
To the unheeding...

I went through my monthly expenses tonight and figured that I spend $152 each month on prescription drugs. Breaking it down, that's:

$40 for a month's supply of Lexapro 20mg (for depression, 1 dose per day)
$40 for a month's supply of Strattera 40mg (for ADHD, 2 doses per day)
$40 for a month's supply of Ambien 10mg (for chronic insomnia, 1 dose per day)...

Flying from New Orleans to New Jersey and back = not so good. I now have ear infections in both ears (or, at the very least, moderate barotrauma), either from the 6 hours at 30,000 feet, or from the inhumanly cold weather in south/central Jersey.

I was there for a party (yes, I'm a major LOTR geek, if you couldn't otherwise tell by that...

hello!

hello lovely giver dude!

in my opinion it is absolutely not stalkerish. the only way it would be stalkerish is if, as the giver, you were expecting to get something in return. that would be stalkerish.

but my world is like the world of burning man. gifts are to be given and enjoyed. if you have the means and another has a need, well then by golly: avail yourself!

i can honestly say that the presents i have received from being on this websites are some of the sweetest treats ever! the book i am currently reading, the cds i'm listening to, a couple of the movies i have watched recently, have all been gifts from fabulous wonderful memberfolks at sg. presents make me feel like a lucky duck sittin' on top of the world! and the world is a frosted cupcake with sprinkles that get stuck to my thighs!

yeah. so please please please! buy me all the items off my wishlist that you like!

but more IMPORTANTLY: heal thine ears! feel better better better soon.

So, anyone have any ideas on how to improve one's test score on the Canadian Immigration Self-assessment Test?

I got a 54. (Minimum acceptance score is 67.) blackeyed

So you were friends with Molly at Le Fee Verte. Do you still keep in touch? What part of Detroit did you grow up in?

You ever miss having a life, when you used to have one but gave it up after too much shit happened to become a recluse?

...I think I'm starting to. blackeyed
goldenturtle:
Thanks for your intelligent comments on grammar and spelling. They were a useful counterbalance to other points of view on the boards.

And yes, I miss my life very much. Let me know if you see it, please. I'm offering a reward...

I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready!

So. Is there some sort of ritual now? Some sort of exchanging of bodily fluids?

Not that i'm apprehensive if there is cause i'll do it, actually I was kind of hoping for some sort of ritual. Y'know, goats and an altar and a knife and stuff.

I'm not as heavily into EBM as I was, but the new Pzycho Bitch album "The Day After" is really, really good. It has a remix album, too, called "The Day Before," but I haven't got around to that one yet.

Metropolis has "The Day Before," and I'm sure some other stores have both CDs, but IMO, it's much easier to download them. So go...

I wish I had some drugs that could actually be overdosed on without causing a painful death. You know, just so that they're there. So that I have them. (Taking 50 Tylenols will cause death by liver failure. Apparently it's an extremely horrible way to die. No thanks.)

Ambien will only put me in a light coma for a day at most, and Zoloft will...

Paying all of one's bills in one fell swoop provides a bit of self-gratification.

The number of days until the next time I get paid, during which I will eat little more than Sapporo Ichiban ramen, are a particularly grim prospect.

In other news: it looks like I'll almost certainly be moving back to New Orleans sometime between now and the end of June. And...
