Anti-panic meds and alcopop = a good remedy for insomnia.
I've been combining 16mg of Gabitril with a 12oz bottle of Smirnoff Twisted raspberry in the absense of my regular sleeping pills (Ambien). Quite a fortuitous combination; I was able to sleep for 17 hours (!) on Sunday this way. This is quite good because I normally have godawful, unrelenting insomnia, so whenever I don't have any Ambien or anything else decent to get to sleep with, it'll make a nice substitute until I'm legally allowed to refill my Ambien prescription. Damn controlled substance laws.
On the other end of that spectrum, I've got a week's worth of Adderall XR remaining, although I don't see Dr. Shrink again until next month. Ergh. Not sure what to do about that. Hopefully I don't go into withdrawal. With any luck I'll be able to get Dr. Shrink's office to write me a prescription for more, since Adderall XR (like Ambien, only even more) is also a controlled substance, prescriptions for which can be filled only by written prescription (i.e., the doctor's office can't call it in for you; you have to bring the written scrip slip yourself).
Anyway, Gabitril + alcopop = swooning, dizzy avalyn. So, nighty night, or good morning, or whatever time it is where you are.
