Woo-fucking-hoo!
Yesterday, I made the last payment on my car. For the past 5.5 years, I've been paying $260 a month to the financier, and yesterday I mailed them the 65th of 65 payments. $17,000 and half a decade later, I finally own a car that was new when I first got it! Fuck yeah!
I also got my Louisiana driver's license yesterday, and was reminded how hellish the DMV offices often are. Too many people. Too many of them with crying babies. Too many DMV workers that don't give a shit. But still, I have to go back next week to transfer the car's title and get Louisiana registration and plates. Blargh.
Later today, my company is staging a game show, or something, for the employees, with cash prizes. I have no idea what it entails but for some reason it sounds kind of scary to me.
