I went through my monthly expenses tonight and figured that I spend $152 each month on prescription drugs. Breaking it down, that's:
$40 for a month's supply of Lexapro 20mg (for depression, 1 dose per day)
$40 for a month's supply of Strattera 40mg (for ADHD, 2 doses per day)
$40 for a month's supply of Ambien 10mg (for chronic insomnia, 1 dose per day)
$25 for a month's supply of Gabitril 8mg (for panic attacks, not epilepsy, one dose per day)
$7 for a month's supply of alprazolam (generic Xanax) 1mg (as needed)
Plus, I spend $35 every couple of months to see a doctor to make sure everything's going as it should in my chemically imbalanced head. I dare not even contemplate what all these things would cost if I had no health insurance. I guess it just makes me wonder, as most modern thinking people do, if it's not all just in my head, as it were. You know, superficial and hypochondriacal (if that's even a word). I guess, if my body is my car for driving through life, then I have to get oil changes awfully damn frequently.
BTW, do you ("you" being whoever is reading this) think boys wearing thongs are weird? I wear them, myself, because I think they're comfy, and I've been told I have a nice ass. So, why not, right?
