I can't recall the last time I spent so much time sleeping. I skipped out of work after an hour or two because I was feeling about as bad as one can feel and still be able to drive. When I got home, I went immediately to sleep. Then I woke up for a few hours, played some World of Warcraft, then went back to bed. Lather, rinse, repeat. For most of the weekend.

Today I forswore sleep from the time I woke up (~1:00pm) so I could indulge in a bit of (admittedly generic) retail therapy. Two pairs of Mossimo jeans. Lost: Season 2 on DVD. V For Vendetta on DVD (mistakenly I bought the fullscreen disc instead of the widescreen, but no matter). Also I bought a baseball to use as a stressball type thing, and a Detroit Tigers baseball hat. As I'm sure you all know, I was born in Detroit and I lived there for just shy of twenty-two years. And so I kind of have an attachment to the Tigers and the Red Wings. The Tigers especially now that they've beaten the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series, and thus they'll face the Oakland A's in the American League Championship Series. If they win that, it's off to the World Series they go. I realize that most of you give fuck all about American sports, but I enjoy them. If the Tigers can knock off the A's, and make it to the World Series, it'll be the first time they've done so since 1984. I remember watching the 1984 WS on television as an eight year old third-grader. That was kind of the defining moment of my baseball fandom, even though I lost touch with it during my goth years, probably due to peer pressure and an active willingness to flaunt social mores.

I also realize that 95% or so of the people on my friends list would laugh long and hard at my wearing a baseball hat. But hey, which would you rather do if you were me? Wear a baseball hat or expose your male pattern baldness to passersby? I've chosen the former option, mostly because I can't find the motivation to go out onto the balcony and shave my head, although I have developed an inkling of wanting to clean my apartment, which has fallen into extreme decrepitude since my illnesses and injuries manifested themselves in June, and from which I'm still suffering. I stopped taking the Wellbutrin, though, because it gave me night sweats the likes of which I'd never experienced before. Seriously. It smelled like rancid Mexican food, or like a dumpster behind Taco Bell, only multiplied by more orders of magnitude than I could count. It made me wash my bedclothes, only a week after I'd already washed them. I think that when I see Townsend tomorrow, I'm going to tell him that I'd be completely fine with going back to Lexapro/Adderall than this Celexa/Wellbutrin/Neurontin shite.

Time is positively speeding by me right now, and I'm rather relieved because of it.

I registered a new domain today, seelenschmerz.org. I have yet to decide what to do with it.

Also, I have fibromyalgia. Joy to the fucking world, eh?
