An interesting note at 2 am.
A few days ago I decided I would fertilize my pitcher plants. This of course involves feeding them insects as they are carnivorous. I purchased grasshoppers (dried) from a local pet store and placed them in the open pitchers of a few of my plants. I cannot believe the results! The already interesting and bizzare plants have exploded with color. 1 plant in particular is devouring grasshoppers and has just burst with gorgeous vibrant crimson and purple veination! I wish I could poste before and after pics.
You must all now assume I'm crazy.
