Hmmmm, been a very long time since I've done this. I blame training for the Marine Corps for it, but I can't say that my own procrastination isn't at fault either. The past 7 months or so have been quite the adventure as far as all that goes. Being a kid that grew up in the same town in the same house all his life, being thrown all around the country to various places to go through the hell they call training was an enlightening experience to say the least. To be completely honest I'm not even completely certain why I joined the Marine Corps. I wanted to be a writer or a teacher. I've always been one to be against fighting, but I suppose that's why I picked the MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) that I did. I'm a Linguist currently learning Korean. I guess there isn't much worry with Korean, but as a linguist the idea behind my job is that I can solve a conflict before anything serious has to happen. I'm sure as hell not going to make a career out of this though. The Marine Corps isn't really a place I feel that I really belong. I've made some close friends in it, but overall it's a pretty stubborn organization that will stick to it's 100 year old traditions to the death. I miss my septum and would like to get more tattoos, but while enlisted it's not gonna happen. It's been a great experience in my life and something that I can walk away from with lessons learned, but only a stepping stone to where I plan to take my life.
