I was on Facebook to vote for the SuicideGirls Sin City contest and I couldn't believe the amount of negative comments on the feed. Girls who were upset they didn't make the finalists pick - it really did get to me. I don't normally play into negativity. I have received my fair share of negative comments, DM's and feedback. I understand that it's part of this journey. Not everyone will like you or what you're doing, that's totally cool.
What I don't like is the pettiness of these girls that weren't chosen. They had to know not everyone could win or make it. To pick apart the rules and make it seem as though SG was in the wrong or the contest is somehow rigged. For them to say that girls that work their butts off as hopefuls don't deserve because they're already affiliated. Or because their pictures aren't Sin City related or their pictures are just "car selfies." These girls are beautiful. These girls are brave. They put themselves out there are on a daily basis for people to judge and they don't deserve this kind of disrespect.
I normally don't respond to things like this however today I was feeling rather upset by everyone's negativity. I am so proud to be part of this community and to be a hopeful. I think everyone chosen for the contest deserves it. They're all gorgeous. Anyone that wants to argue that should take they're negativity elsewhere - this isn't the place for it. The end. <3 A.
