I saw this blog assignment posted in the SG Hopeful Group and it was a good seed for thought. SG started to change my life back in 2004 when I was much younger and searching. What was I searching for? I'm not completely sure. I never really fit in. My parents are conservative - they never understood my choice in music, love of art and horror or my fashion choices. I didn't make these choices to be different from them or to defy them, I was just myself. I saw photos of @amina and @sawa and I felt like my eyes were opened. Maybe these women weren't like me - but they were also different. Tattooed and "alternative," whatever that means. It felt good to find a place where it was safe to be different and you were accepted and in some ways worshiped for those differences. It gave me hope, I knew I wasn't alone.

I'm new to the site now. I am a new hopeful. I haven't had much time to process this or how it has or could change my life. I have more confidence. It feels great to be naked. :) it feels great to just be me.

I appreciate the opportunity to be part of this community and I hope to grow with it. It has been nothing but a positive influence and experience for me. I thank it's creators for giving us a safe place to post our boobies!
