HYPNOTIZED
On a gold chain it hangs, suspended between heaven and hell
The pretty pendant I have come to know oh so well
Set into motion it swings from side to side, to and fro
And as my eyes follow its progress into a deep sleep I go
Into the depths of myself and beyond I seem to be falling
Trying to answer a distant voice I hear that keeps calling
My body once weighted down so heavily has now become light
As the rest of my senses are bathed in the darkness of night
And just when I start think myself blind, deaf and dumb
A movement in the distance makes me see what I have become
So I focus on this beacon guiding me from repressed doubt
And try to not scream as from slumber I fight my way out
While from side to side, to and fro the pendent does swing
Hypnotized now my whole world rest within this dammed thing .
