It was such a busy but wonderful weekend. Below are some pictures from my bosses costume party. I won the Firefly box set for best costume!! Now I can officially justify the cost of the costume.

One of my best friends from high school in Alaska came for the weekend. It was strange seeing her out of the usual context. I'm used to kayaking past seals and drinking cocoa in her cabin on the beach, it was weird partying it up in L.A. and going to Disneyland. She reminded me how badly I miss Alaska. If I don't get a real game job in the next year, I think my California adventures are over and I'm going to return to the wilds of Alaska, or the urban-wilds of Portland.

Alisa also reminded me how badly I miss a close female friend. I finally had someone I could lay my head on and walk arm and arm with and giggle on the couch and talk about how fun and ridiculous it is to be a girl these days. I've got a whole slough of tough Alaska girlfriends living in Portland. I'm willing to move away from this place for something like that.
