Tolkien. I first read him when I was 7 or 8... but I read him again before all the movie hype killed the LOTR trilogy for me, but readin his lesser known Middle Earth works are fine for me, they are not being optioned for films, at least.

Miyazaki is a god. My favourites by him are My neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away, thus far. I also have Kiki's Delivery Service and Castle in the sky. I wish I could go to Tokyo to the Miyazaki museum, I'm that much of a dork.

Heya, thanks! I really hope you can come! Don't worry about bringing food. But it will be BYOB. I'll have some sodas and other non-alcoholic stuff, some wine and a bottle or two of liquor...but I highly recommend you bring wny alcohol that you want to drink!
