I am less afraid of spiders than I used to be.

I am less afraid of a lot of things than I used to be. I have never felt this powerful in my life, and in a way, that worries me. I am not afraid of my boss, even though he wishes I was.

Ok, so I'm still very afraid of both jail and the army...and death.

A man came into my store today and told me that he just finished basic training. I'm not sure why he told me. He was someone I'd seen in the store before but never talked to and I can't even recall selling him anything. I can't even remember what he bought. He didn't seem particularly proud, so maybe he was just telling me, so I wouldn't wonder where he went. He said he would probably end up in Iraq. I felt horrible, cause I really would not wish that upon anyone. I told him something like, "stay strong and stay safe" or something like that.

I wasn't sure what to say to him.
