There's nothing like employees who go the extra mile.

On Saturday, I was with a few of my friends in a Santa Cruz video store and my friend was trying to give me shit. I was wearing a N.E.R.D. T-Shirt that I got for free and he told me that I probably didn't even know who they were. He asked me what their first album was, and I said, um, It's In Search Of... And he was like WRONG! It's Psyence Fiction. My other friends basically laughed at me and I was left confused. Once we left the store, I was backing out of my parking space and the clerk from the video store ran out into the pouring rain and told my friend that I was right, and he just did a search on the internet. He left his post and ran out into the pouring rain, just to tell my friend he was wrong. Now that is a cool video store guy.

hey I dont remember what i said but I am glad you thought it was nice. I am worried about the election too.

I left home at 18 never to return again. One of the blessings was never having to listen to those kinds of speeches again. That being said I would add that you should stay at home as long as you can stand it. Save up and not have to struggle when you do go out on your own. Ideally if you can manage to move from your parents house to your own house without ever renting that is great. I have encouraged a few people to do it this way. Living at home is a great way to save for a house and renting is a sucker bet. Good luck with the job search. I am going to be doing one of those myself now. Dont you just love change.

hmm If however they piss you off enough that you are miserable then get out as soon as you can. Not worth being miserable and I know some parents are impossible to live with. Like my mother for one.

heh ok so much for past comments & journals. The guy at the video store rocks. Oh and I hate to confess to being unhip, but, who/what is Nerd?

I feel so old and uncool. frown
