i had a very exciting adventure yesterday! rinski, bigalow and i did a big island hike across a trail we've never been across before right on the water. the coolest part was the harbor seal that was just chillin out on a rock right in front of us. i've never been that close to one before...and i don't think you're supposed to get very close because they can be kind of mean.....but i got this close! i'm not sure if it was illegal lol

and found some sweet beach glass. and then i climbed a big tree. it was a good walk! the fog was a little scary though. i love when i get to see underwater wildlife...haha nerd. can't wait for the summer and the orca whales! oh wait, yes i can. summer+orca whales= really dumb tourists who ask things like, "what time do the whales come out?"
oh gee, let me go ask them. they're wild animals!!! they don't follow a schedule!!! they'll swim by when they feel like it.
some of my other favorite tourist questions:
"where's the mcdonalds?"...........well, we don't have any fast food or chain restaurants or stores. we don't even have streetlights.
"where's the bridge to the mainland?"...........honestly. if we had a bridge you wouldn't have paid all that money to ride the ferry now would you?
"does this island shut down in the winter?" yes. and all the locals go hibernate until spring.

wow didn't mean to start tourist bashing....its a little annoying though.
