First entry...
New ink this past weekend.
Upper piece )a couple months ago) is the waveform of the sound made my a strucure in my left inner ear called the Outer hair Cell (you all have them too) that acts like a pre-amp as well as helping ot fine tune pitch perception. The sound is called the Otoacoustic Emission.
As a musician, it's what allows me to work with complex harmonies. As an audiologist, it's what I strive to protect in others.
Lower piece is the primary harmonic tone of my 1935 Selmer Balanced Action alto sax (it's a prototype) measured with a special tube microphone in my left ear canals. The waveform is the summation of the tone and the natural harmonic of my ear canal.
