the xie is coming, and i'm really really really eager to see her. she's running a bit late, though... i hope everything is all right.
went to get grilled by my potential employers today... went pretty well, too. things are looking up - saw a flyer for an apartment that might be able to accomodate both fatespawn and i this summer... depends really on whether it's large enough and how the other roommates feel about us sharing a room. but really, it sounds perfect - is co-ed and we'd share the place with four (five?) other roommates, but each person's room has its own seperate entrance, its own bathroom, separate phone and cable lines - plus internet is included in the rent! which would come out to only about $250 for each of us if fatespawn and i are really and truly able to split it. and then there's a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, laundry room, and range that's shared by everyone in the house. sounds pretty sweet, if we can make it work. is on wertland, too, right by where i'll be living when fatespawn moves out to live on grounds (er, campus) in the fall. i hope greatly that this place will be the right one for this summer, because so far it sounds so very promising!
job interview, well - it's odd for everyone being interviewed when everyone already knows you, i guess. that seemed to be the general sentiment, anyway. it was nice for me, though - since i'm already an intern with the instructional technology group i know a lot more about what to expect than the other applicants. i like my coworkers (yeah... even if they don't hire me as in putting-me-on-the-payroll-hiring-me they're still my coworkers. want to be *true* coworkers though... very much so) a lot, and i think in talking we hit it off pretty well and they liked my responses to their questions and hypotheticals. they haven't heard much from me while i've been working out of that closet, since (as everybody else knows, though i contest... very faintly
) i'm shy. but i was actually eager to have an excuse and a good footing to talk with them... i enjoyed it. and phred (who is *the* flash guy) said my answers were very honest and he liked that. yaay!
the talk with my supervisor went well too, i think, though it's a bit harder to tell - sometimes, talking with him, i feel like i never say quite the right thing. i think he sees me as very inexperienced, and, well - what can i say? i am. i've still got a lot of hope, though. and i'm honest! so honest and inexperienced is still pretty good... i hope...
my room is kind of clean looking. all my mess is restricted to a few stacked piles, leaving a starkly empty space (which is positively *crying out* to be vacuumed - sadly i have no vacuum
) in the middle of my room. i can't wait till i live someplace without fluorescent lighting - everything looks better without this institutional pallor. bleh!
spring break has begun. i have so much work to do. the people who go off to places with warmth and blue water at times like these belong to some other world, truly. is not fair!
still, it's nice not to have to go to classes for awhile. and i'm all about recklessly spending money on happy foods while xie's here, as the dining halls with only be open on and off - what better excuse?
wheeeeee, she's here!!!!

Good luck with that. It sounds like you have a great shot!
My spring break is in a week, and I'll be spending it working on my thesis. No fun in the sun for me. Alas. Waitaminute. I hate the sun. Huzzah!
