ok .. so .... on about monday, my lovely wife noticed what looked like a bad insect bite on my back; kinda right where my right shoulder blade meets the center portion of my back.
It has gotten bigger every day, goes through phases of itching and hurting a bit. Pretty swollen. Not particularly good looking. Kept taking benadryl at night and putting bacitracin on it... but have gotten a bit worried as it has kept growing anyway.
So, i took it to the doctor today... turns out I have fucking Lyme Disease. Lovely. FOund a tick or two after we went for a hike in the woods at a park out here. Super. So, hopefully three weeks of antibiotic treatment will make it all better. Otherwise.. watch this space for exciting and strange developments as the organisms burrow deeper into my brain and send me into hallucinations and dememtia (with a touch of Bell's Palsy) .......
