going through some video footage tonight. first tape i pop in... is of a dead man.
i bought a video camera in 1992, and when i moved to philly, brought it with me. somewhere in there, my friends borrowed it and made a tape. and one friend who made the tape hung himself a few years after that. hes the only real suicide i know. thank god.
because i bought in 1992, its a weird format that has died; VHS-C or compact video. around 1999 mini dv started being used at my school. the advantage of mini dv cameras is that they connect directly to computers and transfer video in realtime to the computer and back to the tape. my video camera though, is VHS-C, so, i havent looked on these tapes in years, but im considering getting rid of them, or taking them to my moms house.
and then the first tape i watch i a dead man on a dead format. other than that, i rented 2 movies this week.
American Splendor and Brother's Keeper. both of them figure big on mortality. i think i need to balanc out the week by eating sugar and watching animated christmas specials, gah, what a morbid viewing list.
