I was inspired to write this after reading my muse's (ahem) latest blog entry. This morning (at 3am) when i was driving to the grocery store, I heard another song by Sean Kingston. And like many other songs that are in his genre, it starts out with some guy in the background going "Sean Kingston" really loud and rhythmic like. I thought to myself afterwards, wow my name would be a shitty R&B name. Marcus *******. For personal reasons I won't disclose my last name since there are some crazy uni-bomber people out there that would probably hunt me down and use me as a throw rug in their mother's basement. Lets just say its a long last name. It got me thinking... it seems that many popular artists right now have one-syllable first names and then a two or three last name. Like Sean Kingston or T. Pain or something like that.
My name is cumbersome as hell and it would probably make people turn the radio off. "Who the fuck is Marcus So and So." Just made me think. I'd have to streamline the hell out of it, like make it M. Church or something crazy (church is only part of my name you crazies out there). But yea I'm sure you are all thinking "wtf is this all about. Is he on crack" and the answer is I'm a very free-spirited person that likes to comment on the most random of things in this universe.
Onto more pressing matters... snow. Yes snow, it's coming down in blankets out here and people are going stir crazy. It's like Armageddon here in the midwest. I went to the store and it was like the store was closing down for good. Mothers, dragging droves of children around in a store, stocking up on canned goods and perishables for their snow shelters or whatever they have to combat mother nature's grueling winds and unrelenting downpours of soft-powdery heaven. Yes.. it was crazy and yes it is snowing, but wow really? I mean it's not like we live in the North Pole. The snow shall melt, trucks will blast it all away with their huge shovels and what not. The store will be there on Monday for your shopping pleasures. Just made me laugh.
I've started writing again. I'm sure you are thinking "no shit, look at the length of this blog" but yea I started picking up my pen and jotting a few ideas down for a new project that I"m working on. I have a personal Livejournal acct thats devoted to my projects. So once I get some more ideas to pen and paper I will upload them to their for your criticizing enjoyment. I think thats all I have for now... I've probably scared half of you away by now and made enemies of the rest of you.

All this talk of snow amuses me...I live in NZ, so it's coming into summer here, and it's quite novel to hear people talking about snow, or the lack thereof, when over here we're complaining about the lack of sunshine
