Do we not speak of love because its meaning has become lost in endless songs and movies that hide its truth in platitudes or do we not speak of love because we fear the repercussions and pain of loss?

The bitter hardship of experience makes me think that we don't speak of love out of fear. As teens, the songs gave us romantic frivilous concepts of love. As grown ups, fear of rejection, loss etc, keep most of the walls pretty well up.

Pretty sad really, isn't it.
