I hope that everyone has had a happy Thanksgiving, and a dandy Black Friday. Yes, Black Friday - apparently that's the term that the corporate fucks have begun using in reference to the day after Thanksgiving. I believe the term comes from the idea that the rampant shopfest that ensues on this day puts the retailers in the black, or something like that. How irritatingly cute. Me, I think the term is appropriate for entirely different reasons. No day on the calendar, in my opinion, serves as a darker reminder of the corporate greed and mindless consumerism that have polluted the holidays and so much else in this country that was once good.

So anyway, I went out for Thanksgiving with my father and his lovely wife. We go out on Thanksgiving these days because my father, who has always done the cooking, is getting too old to be bothered with it, and because most of my family lives in other faraway climes. The stepcunt was already drunk when they showed up, which meant that she was in a mood to talk. Which wouldn't be so bad, if she had anything of substance to say. Hey, but at least my Cowboys won, for what it's worth...

I'll be in and out for the next few days, as I am in the process of moving in with a buddy of mine, so I don't know how frequently I'll be posting. I know you'll all be waiting with bated breath for my return...
