my car repair didn't go as i had hoped. i got my ass outta bed with a little over 3hr sleep to go drop off the car; approx 30mins later i get a call saying the work is done, so i head back.
when i get there, i pay the labor cost and check out the car... the wrong part was changed. a dealer mechanic checks it out; hears my story about explaining the fubar'd roof mount and laughs at the parts counter guys. shrug.
so, 2hr later i'm just getting home. the dealership is gonna pull the roof of a lease car apart to see if the mount is tack welded, or something else to the roof... and get back to me today or tomorrow.
they credited me the $60+ spent on an unneeded part. sigh.
i dunno if i'm gonna get my rack back on top
... if not, i'm gonna be bummed cause i'll have lost a few hundred when i sell it.
