*yawn* tired from the weekend still, but i'm on vacation! wooohooo!
jen and i drove to the city i moved from, to visit mutual friends that just bought their first house (chris & shauny). when we arrived on friday we hit my vape for a few hours, our hosts rolled a couple of joints with honey oil on the paper (not real honey oil, barely noticed it was there... FAIL) & beer. we chilled until a bit after midnight then crashed. beyond drugs and video games, there isn't a lot to do in that city/town/whatever it is.
after breakfast on saturday, chris and I went on a mtb ride on a mix of mtb and atv trails. the atv portion upset me a bit; it turns out the local dumbasses have completely destroyed marsh land. completely. a nice section that **used** to go around a small bay of a lake that was marsh transitioning to dry ground = huge, huge area of ripped up mud. small town, no options = break shit i guess. lame.
other than the trail damage, the ride was nice. i took out my 47lbs freeride bike (gravity is the ideal source of speed) on a 3 hour cross country ride, and had a blast. Jen was out with my 'do everything' hard tail, going for a ride with Shauny. I got air off of everything and anything that'd give me >12" height or distance.. which wasn't that much honestly. I think there was only 1 pseudo drop on the entire ride, in the middle of a natural pump section. i didn't know it was there as i was cornering but i'm glad i got a little air borne. that fraction of a second put a smile on my face.
it's not fun riding a bike that's meant for whistler if you keep it on the ground.
on the way home yesterday, we stopped at the local saltwater/reef shop and i got a pink/green sea cucumber (filter feeder, my snails will have to learn it's not going to let go if they get close) AND an awesome orange star fish with black tips.
oh yeah.. the room we stayed in at the house was pink. it turns out the previous owners had a boy and a girl. the boy's room became the computer room/office, the girl's room is now the guest room. it's so pink, it glows. the bed was ancient. maybe 50 years old. we tried having 'quiet' sex .. but that wasn't happening; if you rolled over while sleeping you could wake up the other person... so we just had a lot of fun trying to be quiet.
jen's going on an almost 2 week vacation starting tomorrow morning. i'm driving her to the airport for 5am. no sex for almost 2 weeks
