I've become abitious for some damn reason, though I really have NO IDEA what it could be... I'm making chain maille! Yep, I'm making enough chain maille of my own design to cover the back of my hand, then I'll stitch it to a glove and have a bad-ass European 1-4 weave chain half-gauntlet.
This is the tiny little piece of maille I've finished so far. Pitiful, but I've only just begun and I didn't have enough #10 zinc lock washers anyway
I HAVE to find something to punch when I'm done, I just have to. With a pound of steel on my hand... how could I resist!?
Oh, and I would do some interesting chain maille clothing, but I don't feel like a full chain suit or shirt would be great for a first project. Um... that should be fairly obvious. Also, I'm not sure if chain accessories look good on guys. I'll have to consult someone who has an interest in guys, and find out. I know for SURE that a chain corset and head dressing can be unbelievably sexy on women with any kind of decent curves, so maybe guys can pull it off, too?
