My ex called last night to chat and I realized how much I miss her. Not in the physical sense but as the friend I had before and during our relationship. It was great to reconnect on that level and she is now one of 2 women that I have a really special close friendship with. The other is also an ex from years back. I don't find it strange to have healthy relations with past girlfriends but some of my buddies just can't understand how it works and why I am close with my ex's. You spend a lot of time together and you can't just turn your back on that can you? Ok yes sometimes things go horribly wrong and you never look back but most of the time people just drift apart so why can't you stay friends?
eh whatever.
In other news, my day was brightened considerably by a phone call from down east. Too bad I wasn't here to take the call but a message was good. My cocktail crush called to say hey and with actual longing in her voice, hurray for me
Of course she is down east so, boo for me too
It was just nice to get all tingly hearing her voice again and she left her home #, which she hadn't when she left which to me said something but obviously I was wrong. This was the whole me being an idiot thing a while back, sometimes I really am dense.
Day off tomorrow and I have no plans so I might go shopping or climbing I'm not sure which is more appealing yet. More than likely I'll sleep till noon and bum around, that works too so........ Breakfast first then whatever.

exes are sometimes good too, except for when they're not
i'll think about fireengine red, but reds are *so* hard to get and maintain; they often turn out pink in the first place, and to keep a really good color they take dying every week or so. i did have hair once that was that color between true red and magenta, though - which was lots of fun. nice thing about those colors is that they can be dyed over, unlike dark colors.
oh - tingly is good too...
