Hi Everyone!!

Last Monday there was the centenary of Federico Fellini's birth, and for this event there were film projection in the cinemas, with the debates of the themes and the life of the famous filmaker, and in television.

I saw "Amarcord" which told about the vicissitudes of little town in the 1930's, which reinterpreted the Fellini's youthfulness.

I've already saw ths film but it was a plesaure to see it again, because it intrigued me the fact that Fellini has told a story of one little town through its inhabitants their daily life

The next film that I saw is "La Dolce Vita", In my Elements of Audiovision's Direction's course at the University, my professor always told about this film, especially of this scene below, When the protagonist Marcello talk with his lover Maddalena about the solitude and the fact she want to go away from everything.

Basically He (sort of ) said Marcello want to do something with Maddalena but he is undecided of what to do and she be picky for the fact he is poor, but she want to flirt to him and waits his moves meanwhile she talk about her need to leave everything.

And my professor also added that: WTF You're doing you two!!? Make a choice (especially Marcello)!!

However It was very Interesting and It made me think about some things and discovered something new about the filmography of Fellini.

I saw Amarcord when it came out all those years ago--i've seen all his films that way except the first three.  His best in my opinion are La Strada (really one of the best films in the world); Amarcord, Roma (which is kind of linked to Amarcord) ....and...Ginger and Fred, tho La Dolce Vita is very iconic and when compared to Antonioni's L'Aventurra of the same era really shows Fellini's genius in capturing the post-war hysteria of Italy
