I saw Amarcord when it came out all those years ago--i've seen all his films that way except the first three. His best in my opinion are La Strada (really one of the best films in the world); Amarcord, Roma (which is kind of linked to Amarcord) ....and...Ginger and Fred, tho La Dolce Vita is very iconic and when compared to Antonioni's L'Aventurra of the same era really shows Fellini's genius in capturing the post-war hysteria of Italy
