I feel my body

vibrating violently

with every beat

of my heart,

trying to desperately

come out of my chest.

Every time

I look at your eyes

my heart

starts to burn

furiously,

incinerating

everything around me.

Poem (C): Me

“The Heart of Mary (Detail)” (1759): Juan Patricio Morlete Ruiz

Sento il mio corpo

vibrare violentemente

ad ogni battito

del mio cuore,

che cerca di uscire

disperatamente dal mio petto.

Ogni volta che

guardo i tuoi occhi

il mio cuore

inizia a bruciare

furiosamente,

incenerendo

tutto ciò che mi circonda.

The Witching hour

has come,

and darkness

grips the world

in a vise,

and the pale moon

observe attentively

like a watchful eye.

The spirits

and the creatures of the night

reign supreme

over the deserted streets

and the night sky,

without any obligation

and finally free.

Poem (C): Me

“Witches at their Incantations” (c. 1646). details (C): Salvator Rosa

È scoccata

l’ora delle streghe,

e le tenebre

stringono in una morsa

il mondo,

e la pallida luna

osserva attentamente

come un occhio vigile.

Gli spiriti

e le creature della notte

regnano sovrani

sulle strade deserte

e sul cielo notturno,

senza alcun obbligo

e finalmente liberi.

A bright star

rule the night,

a call

is heard

and echoes

in the soul,

while they leave

for a new journey.

Una stella luminosa

domina la notte,

un richiamo

si ode

e rimbomba

nell’anima,

mentre si parte

per un nuovo viaggio.

Silence reigns

in the night,

except on the soft footsteps

that are heard

on the cold snow.

On the shoulders of the traveler,

the seeds

of a new spring,

for the dawn of a new day.

Regna silenzio

nella notte,

tranne sui soffici passi

che si odono

sulla neve fredda.

Sulle spalle della viandante,

i semi

di una nuova primavera,

per l’alba di un nuovo giorno.
