I am currently looking at Dachshunds for future adoptions. Like anything i read as much as i can before i jump in with both feet, do you have any pros/cons and or tips i should know about that i may not read?

that's what i would prefer. No reason to get a brand new puppy if there are plenty of them out there that need homes already.
