Oh man, I had such a shitty day. My landlord is causing the most ridiculous problems. Today she shows up at 8am and wakes us all up, telling us shes going to shut off the water to work on the plumbing. We're all a little upset, but we get up and take care of our shit before it happens. After that, I leave for school. At about 4pm, I run into my roomate, who tells me the following things:
1. The landlord stormed into the house and yelled at my roomates (I was gone already) for having it to dirty. Which it really isn't.
2. She began escorting people through to view our rooms to rent out, which she didn't inform us of. I dont like strangers coming into my bedroom without being informed in advance, particularly because I'd like to hide certain things (i.e. digital camera, really nice manual focus camera with interchangable lenses, mp3 player, checkbook, etc.). I am understandably irked, as are my roomates who were subjagated to similar treatments.
3. The landlord accused us of having other people who dont pay rent live here, specifically me. I don't rent out half of my room to anyone, and save a lady-friend who will sleep here once and a while, I don't normally have many visitors.
4. My landlords boyfriend, who often comes in here on his own and just starts ordering us around, took a particular nasty tone of voice in expressing his concerns to my roomates. I don't understand what makes him think this is any of his business, as his name does not appear on our rental agreements.
This effectively ruined what would have otherwise been a great day. School was good, work was good, the sun was shining, I didn't talk to this certain chick who I have a mad crush on but thats life. Then, I discover that I may be forced to take legal action against my landlord. I fucking hate people. Seriously, my landlord is actually a pretty nice lady who just needs to be a little more considerate. I have a much bigger problem with her boyfriend, who sticks his nose in our business and acts like its his right. My roomates say they are scared of him, and they're pretty sure he beats his girlfriend. We agreed tonight the next incident we have with him, we're calling the cops.
Any day that ends with a decision to involve the police is a bad one. I fucking hate the town where I live. All my landlords have been scumbags, but this one has been the worst.
I'm done venting. When I vent, I don't go on "angry" rants. My anger is kind of a more restrained hostility. Right now, I'm just waiting for these people to fuck up once more, and then I'll focus alot more time and energy into making their lives as difficult as they're making mine. it.
