I had a cool day at school today.

First of all I had a presentation in my visual cultural studies class, which went really well. My group took all these images from a 1940's Hungarian War Film and re-contextualized them in a comedic narrative about alien invasion. It worked really well, and all the more technical aspects that I was concerned about panned out. My only problem with it was this one girl in my group, who doesn't work hard, doesn't understand the significance of what we did, and isn't a particularly pleasent person in general (shes really full of herself and condescending, but I can't discern a reason for her to be this way) kind of took the opportunity to explain our presentation to the class. Personally, I think she did a kinda shitty job on it, and kind of devalued the amount of effort the rest of us put into it. Oh well though, as long as we don't lose marks I guess I shouldn't worry.

Second, I read this really cool piece of hypertext fiction called Patchwork Girl. If you like to read, I suggest you check it out, cause its the first piece of hypertext fiction that actually used the technology in a good way as opposed to flaunting it. I am now stoked on hypertext!

I am aware of the geekiness of this entry, so please don't bother pointing it out.

Thirdly, I got all my homework done for the week. I think I will celebrate by killing my liver with alcohol. biggrin

Take that, vital organs!!!!

kera:
well, my interest is in religion and law, in other words the first amendment's religion clauses: "congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." because there is no way to define religion the limitations of the protections under the religion clauses have varied extensively and i'm interested in understanding how the jurisprudence affects our understanding of the idea of "religion"
kind of strange, definately nerdy. kiss
