Wow! Unexpected, yet pleasant, surprise this weekend. Met up with a party-hook-up friend, spent the evening together (baseball game, fireworks, live music, drinks). At her place, her dog and cats immediately took to me! Spent most of the next evening together then nearly all of today together. We've known each other for two days but it feels like years. I really enjoy it when new "relationships" start with complete openness and honesty. We talked about her hang-fire relationship, as did we talk about mine. I think we are still going to give it a go, though, and take it as it comes. Nonetheless, it is nice to be happy again, and to laugh and smile...
