I had to go into my previous place of employment for a surprise retirement party for a coworker. I worked for one of the biggest airlines in the US.

I worked in the airline industry for over a decade, doing multiple things (flight attendant, ramp agent, operations, customer service supervisor....) and my heart will forever be in the industry

I've been retired 10 years but used to fly transatlantic a lot (mostly with American). Was in White Plains at a meeting when my distraught wife phoned to say her son had just been killed in a m/c accident. My company got me to Kennedy a.s.a.p. and in the first seat available. An absolute angel of an AA steward noticed my distress and when I explained really helped me through that flight. I hope he realises that his act of kindness that day is still remembered.
