i got fired today after two weeks.
its sort of ridiculous.
30 quid went missing from the till ($60 to you yanks
) and because it was only me and a girl who'd been there for almost 2 years on at the time they fired me.
id like to point out i didnt touch the money. If i was gonna steal from them i wouldnt do it from a till where theres a camera facing them. But stealing isnt even something that would cross my mind!! especially in such a well paid environment.
I think i messed up and rang something through wrong, mistakes HAPPEN..
so the manager takes me to his office and implies i took it, and im like, no i didnt, have you checked the security tapes.
and his exact words
"IM NOT GOING TO WASTE MY TIME LOOKING AT THE TAPES. WE'RE JUST ENDING YOUR EMPLOYMENT NOW"

are they even allowed to DO that? if he bothered to look he'd see i didnt steal anything
