Your Friends & Neighbors
It came out about 5 years ago or something to that extent. It was quite a movie, possibly the one that made Catherine Keener a more popular Indie star, and gave Ben Stiller a dramatic edge to his extensive comedy. Amy Brenneman was also quitely exquisite, there's just something about her that tickles my fancy, but no I don't watch Judging Amy.
It was blunt and straightforeward on many points, then extremely subtle on others. I don't consider myself a huge movie critic, but when I see a movie that makes me think I like to tell people about it. Plus, it has Enter Sandmanas it's opening theme music (of course it's been redone as an instrumental with quite a selection of stringed instruments.
In other news: I just found out I'm going to Las Vegas (okay about a week ago), in January. that should be exciting...I'm scared

here's what happens in vegas -
my friend's mother went for a girls weekend w/ some friends. they got off the plane, checked into the hotel, then started to stroll up the strip. there were billboards all over advertising this rodeo that was in town and my friend's mother said, wouldn't it be fun to go see the rodeo? as if on cue, a bull comes charging out the doors of the convention center of the nearby hotel! it goes running up the strip closely followed by 4 honest to goodness cowboys w/ lassos, followed by cops! they go screaming down the strip until the bull gets cornered and the cowboys are trying to rope the bull when a car comes barrelling down the strip, loses control and HITS the BULL - it's a drunk college student from UNLV. his car bounces off the bull like a rubber ball and is trashed and the bull is just pissed. the drunk college student comes stumbling out of his car all dazed and confused and gets arrested while the cowboys are trying to stop the cops from SHOOTING the bull! they rope the bull and lead him back into the convention center and the cops drive off and everyone just goes on their merry way.
