I just posted a bunch of travel pictures. I hope they dont make me seem pretentious. I almost never talk about traveling because it makes me feel like Im bragging. Talking about where youve been is somewhat akin to talking about the place you went to school, your income, your grades, your test scores or the length of your cock. I try to avoid all said braggart conversations and skip straight to the stories: the time I was in Tunisia, taking pictures of cats in prostitution districts; the time I decided to return home to my girlfriend and spent 96 hours including 4 planes, 7 trains, 3 busses and two hitched rides all for love (which coincidentally sputtered and crumbled after a couple more years of agony); the time I went 75 days without a shower in Southern Chile.
My point is, I love all travel. I can enjoy a walk on a quiet night in a seemingly undifferentiable suburban street or I can enjoy a burly bushwhacking adventure through the thorny vineyards of France (lost, dehydrated and unable to find a supposed castle which ended up being more of a rock cairn). Everybody should wander, learn and grow within his or her means. If that means that you know a 50 mile square better than anyone else in the world, than you rock. I know a guy who has a story for nearly every street in New Orleans. Is he worse off because his stories are not split between tens or hundreds of cities? I think not. Anyway, I wanted to put up something with content. I hope this is an initial move away from my fluffy posts of late.
This week I'll be in Dallas, NYC, Jersey, Philly, Chicago and Green Bay. I just saw the Constantines and they rule
