Today was a geek day.
I went downtown, purchased "Savage Seas" for exalted, Frozen Throne expansion for Warcraft, and saw Pirates of the Caribean. So let us recap. Exalted, Warcraft, Pirates. The day was not wasted.
The movie was enjoyable. If there's a bad pirate movie, well, I havn'e seen it. The action was good, the jokes made me laugh, and the CGI was quite impressive (especially considering Disney was envolved). I'd recommend it.
I want to be a pirate now. Of course if you consider how much I've downloaded from Napster and Kazaa over the years I technically am. "Avast ye copyright lovers. I've come to plunder yer music and drive thee record sales to the bottom of Davey Jones' locker! Argghhh!"

I was reading article the other day that said pirate movies never do well at the box office because the public generally isn't interested. I beg to differ. I too want to be a pirate someday. It's in my blood! Arrrgggg!
