my cats seem to have become partners in crime. their mission is to annoy me as much as possible. one distracts me while the other sneaks into my closet; while i'm feeding them, one stands on my knee meowing loudly while the other knocks the food on the floor; they fight viciously the minute i've gone to bed.

something else i should watch out for: the new cat, who is declawed, likes to "scratch" my couch. my resident cat, who has claws, may pick up the trick soon. disaster!
