"BALLS OF ICE!!!" that's what i was screaming along with a crowd of appreciative metalheads at the 3 Inches of Blood gig on monday night. i was in a rowdy mood, and it was perfect to just drink beer and get silly and hang out with friends. (actually, me and my metal-lovin' coworker continued to rock out to 3 Inches of Blood all the next day, which did not amuse our other coworker, especially after the 3rd or 4th rendition of "balls of ice"...)
on wednesday i saw dave brubeck and his quartet. the man is 82! and still touring, composing, and putting out new recordings. amazing. it might be my last chance to see him, so i went and was very happy i did. i'll be doing some piano playing of my own soon. my parents are selling their house and they are giving me the piano i used to play...but where to put it in my overcrowded apartment?
