can some of you enlighten me on what "scene" means? as in "she's so scene."

i thought it was just what teenagers calls hipsters/scenesters, but i looked on urban dictionary and there seems to be some goth/punk/straightedge element. yet, the photos just look like teenage hipsters with long bangs.

i ask because a teenager flirted with me last week and i could not understand his language. he bought me a beer though, which was sweet.
