Ok... so i am reading Eckhart Tolle's book 'A New Earth'. And it is doing wonders for me, I've always been avoiding this type of spiritual book, one because i had tendency to critisize Oprah, and two because i associated alot of new age spirtual thinking with my sense of loss of my mother. Which I've been associating with for a long time (shes not dead just divorce etc).
Everytime i start reading this book my third eye chakra starts going nuts. It's really helping me with my depression, because it helps me understand (in a way ive tried to before but in a different way) dissassociate myself from the negative thoughts, and find a part of myself that is free from those (what tolle calls) "egoic structures", the self awareness that hears the thoughts you have.
Its also helping me to respect my own body and commit to caring for it in a way i havent before. Its helping my self image because its teaching me not to compare with others, and not associate with a sense of difference or loss or lack that i have when i look at other people.
This may be abit fruity lala for some of you, but i recomend the book. It works for me... but whatever works for you is just as good...
