Ah, I love my 2D animation instructor, she's insane. She's the only instructor I'd work harder for just because I feel bad if I let her down.
After the first class I had with her she sent everyone in the class little postcards with comments on their work. She basically told me she expected better work than what I turned in (I wasn't at all prepared of the amount of work 2D animation required). I keep it around to remind me to not be such a slacker.
Unfortunately most people in my school suck ass at 2D, so it's common for people to not even do work for her classes. She takes it VERY personally, she's been known to cry if no one does their work.
In this last class with her we actually have a good class, maybe 1 or 2 people who suck. So first day of class she says, "I have very high expectations of you guys. If you don't do very well it wont hurt me. YOU'LL BE STABBING ME IN THE HEART!" And she's not kidding!
