Alright, this is a good one. I've approved every 'friend request' I've received since I joined SG. Today I almost hit Deny. Not because the person had no profile or blog or was creepy-looking. No, this particular request was from the first username that has made me think twice.....conservative. Ha! Seriously, it made me stop for a second and say 'well, they can't REALLY be conservative, can they? Conservatives aren't allowed to look at porn, are they? Isn't that against one of their commandments?' Then I thought 'No. They can look at porn, they're just not supposed to TALK about looking at porn.' 'Oh, well that's ok then.' So welcome, conservative -whoever you are. I won't tell...
Whle I'm on the subject of friend requests I just want to interject that the reason I've not denied any requests is that I have absolutely no reason to think for one minute that there's a single person on the planet who I'm too good to speak to. I know that many people are selective and to that I say to each his or her own. People say 'given the nature of the site you have to be careful'. Bullshit. So you've been a member for two years and the other person just joined and doesn't have a blog. Does that make HIM the serial killer? Whatever. I've not had to 'end friendship' with a single person over rudeness, tackiness, or general shittiness. The couple of gentlemen who've been a little too naughty have been much more polite since we've had a 'little chat' and I've met nothing but nice/cool/fun people whom I communicate with regularly. Once again, it's all about the love.
Oh, and world peace.
And sex.
And women.
And men.
And dewberries.
And music.
And sunshine.
And dancing.
And a little more love.
