I always hear that a cliche' doesn't become so unless it's somewhat true. Here are a few that I'm just not buying:

'All's fair in love and war' - some things are just downright unfair.

'What comes around goes around' - some people do NOT get what they deserve.

'Nice guys finish last' - bullshit.

'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer' - why would anyone really want to do this?

'Real men don't eat quiche' - Jeremy begs to differ.

'Love is all you need' - bullshit again.

'Honesty is the best policy' - unless you're under oath.

'Size doesn't matter' - ahem.
